We looked at several different brands and picked out new refrigerator because of the features it provided. The in door bins are large and the moveable shelves provide storage for any shape and size of container. The spacious freezer is another reason I love my new fridge.

I've had the refrigerator for a month and couldn't be happier. It's exactly what I wanted and provides more than enough space for our needs while not taking up a lot of room in our small kitchen. The freezer is surprisingly spacious and I love the ice-maker (internal access only). The water dispenser is also a convenience that I like, and this filtered water is noticeably better than tap water.

Damper Burnt Up Within 2 Weeks!

I bought this a month ago and I am so unsatisfied. After two weeks of owning it I go to the fridge and open the door and am hit with a smoke that burnt my eyes. I call up Whirlpool, they do their typical read off a script, "Oh we sorry that happened." "Oh we know what an inconvenience this is and we're sorry." They drug their feet getting a repair man out. so another 2 weeks pass and the repair man finally shows up and starts to look at the fridge and determined the damper had burnt out. He said this doesn't typically happen and he thought it was due to faulty wiring. The fridge has smoke damage, has faulty wiring and Whirlpool will not replace it. "We repair, we don't replace." We'll that's fantastic. When I get that new damper in and it burns up because of faulty wiring then what am I supposed to do? I am reaching out to an attorney about the lemon law (Yes it applies to appliances to, not just cars) and seeing what we can do because this is unacceptable and Whirlpool doesn't seem to care.

We needed a specific size to fit a specific space...and Whirlpool was the only one I can find eith the size. Not only that, with the features and a water dispenser! It was perfect! French doors opened easily with no hindrance or clipping the walls. Water dispenser is kind of loud when making ice...but...I'll deal with that...that's a minor issue to compare with all the 5 star feature it has.

I am really glad that I purchased this model French door refrigerator. It fits the space in my small kitchen perfect and it matches my other appliances that I already have. The space inside is perfect for everyday use. Right now I am able to fit my frozen turkey inside. I love that I can still get water from the outside and it has a light on it. Thank you whirlpool.

This is the 3rd whirlpool refrigerator I had delivered. Hopefully #3 is the charm. I've had it for 2 weeks and so far all is well. The first that was delivered had a terrible burning smell to it within a couple of days. Returned it and a week later another was delivered on a Saturday and on Wednesday again burning smell and it started smoking on the inside . 1 week later had Another delivered so far no trouble. Almost went with an LG. After 2nd time .

I bought this appliance through a Whirlpool Dealership. I'm very unhappy with the "rebate" as they don't send you a check or even a card in the mail. They give you a "virtual " rebate card through an email, that NO ONE accepts! So rebate is useless. Freezer is very small.

So far we are happy with our purchase! Ask me eight years from now, if it's still working I'll give you five stars! A little loud when compressor kicks on. Larger glass shelves hard to move up or down, reason for this doors don't open wide enough! And drawer will not totally close properly!
Looks to be a solid made refrigerator. We love the style and large freezer.
I had a Sears refrigerator that lasted only four years. If I get 10 years out of this fridge, all my new appliances will be Whirlpool products.

I bought this in the summer because our old refrigerator was slowly dying. We have always wanted to switch to a bottom freezer and I love french doors- so this was a good compromise. Everything works well. I love the fast cooling feature as it has helped a lot with getting the fridge back to temperature after grocery shopping. I gave it 4 stars because there are times the door open alarm will not go off if the left door is slightly ajar.

This is the 2nd Refrigerator I purchased in less than a year. The first one the rt. the door broke and could not be replaced. So Best Buy had to give me a 2nd one.
It's ok not a great refrigerator. To begin with, trying to put the fresh thing in the back is not easy so I have it laying down on the bottom draw.
Also whoever designed this must not use a refrigerator. The doors need to open more then it does.
It does keep the food cold and frozen food frozen, so that is good.

I got this October 28, on November 9 I opens the refrigerator and a strong smell of burning rubber, so I called whirlpool company and they said to unplugged it and someone will call me to set up a schedule to get it fix. Today is November 15 and am still waiting for someone to call me to set up a appointment to get it fix!
1) why it take them a week and still no one call to set up a appointment to get it fix?
2) what do they expected people to do without a refrigerator for a week ?

I bought this refrigerator from Home Depot on July 05, 2017. Today Nov. 15, 2019 the repair man just left my house telling me the repair to my refrigerator could cost me 1,200.00 dollars opposed to the $600.00 they will be are charging me. Just so you know this is a Whirlpool appliance repair technician. How is it that an appliance that I paid $1400.00 plus dollars for fails after 2 years. No I'm not grateful. I'm sick of poor quality merchandise. This refrigerators inside compartment became warm and the ice maker stopped working and defrosted. Water was leaking out. Just ridiculous. Also lets not talk about the food I have to get rid. Buy beware.

I would not recommend. The doors and inside dividers are cheaply made. Every time, I open one side the other side opens too. So you have to ensure both are closed properly. Or when I close one side the other side opens slightly too.

I just bought this fridge. I love it and people are jealous when they come over. I love the french doors on the top and the freezer on the bottom. I am happy with the water dispenser on the door and the ice maker in the freezer as I know many people who have ice makers on the door and they don't last and are expensive to repair. I just hope that it will last a long time :)

I had my kitchen updated and this refrigerator met my needs and expectation for a 30 inch wide french door. It is quiet and the only time I will hear something and is when I'm getting the water and when it's making ice. The only negative I have, is it would be better if there is no divider in the freezer section so you can place bigger items. Otherwise, I am happy with this refrigerator.

We made our original purchase through Robinson Bros. Appliances in Mohawk, NY and I cant say enough good about the staff and overall experience with them. We had the unit in our home for a few days before a burning plastic smell started coming from it. We contacted Robinson's and they sent a serviceman right over, unfortunately they couldn't find the cause even though he could smell the remnants of burnt plastic. A couple of days later the smell came back and when my wife opened the doors a plume of white came from inside the unit. We called the retailer back and they put us in contact with Whirpool directly, who in turn sent out their own repairman. Again the entire refrigerator was taken apart and even though he said that he could smell burnt plastic, could not find a source. He feared that the cause may be coming from inside the walls of the fridge in which he could not access. He filed his report and told us that he believed that we had a faulty unit and should be eligible for a replacement, he gave me a number to call and how to go about completing a claim. I called the number and the representative at first told me that the repairman found nothing wrong with the unit and therefore could do nothing with it. I informed her that, that was not what he had told us and we were concerned that it may catch on fire in the middle of the night or possibly when nobody was home. At this point she informed me that if we did not feel safe with the unit in our home they would remove it and eventually refund our money. We opted for this. I contacted the original retailer and they made it right, we ended up with a new unit within a week and eventually when we received our refund we paid for it. Later on in the day, that unit began creating the same smell of burning plastic. The old refrigerator never had an issue. I even hired and home inspector/electrician to come check out the electrical of the house, only to state that he felt this issue was the fridge itself. We've kept the fridge on a surge protector and still occasionally get the smell, but I wish there was a good answer as to why the smell would be coming from 2 brand new refrigerators. We like Whirlpool, our other appliances are the same. I'd like to know if this has happened in other homes, was the issue located and what was the solution.

I've bought mine not to long ago. About a month. All the features are awesome. My only concern is I have fresh water filtration system, and there is no way I can get it in my refrigerator. I did all the measuring 4 insulation capacity for how much room I needed, but that was one measurement I missed.
