Racking system is marginal for me

The shelving spacing is extremely tight for sparkling wine bottles. I have to use the single shelf that designed for magnums and even then, with some bottles by the time you put 4 in place the nest 'slot' has to be skipped. Although the concept of rollout shelves is good, I'd rather have a simpler and more flexible racking system.

Limited capacity - heavy bottles don't fit well

Limited capacity because heavier bottles (think California Cab over $100) only fit on the top shelf. If located on lower shelves, several shelves will move when you only want one. Temperature settings are very good for whites on one side and reds on the other

If you are intending to utilize the advertised capacity of this wine refrigerator, beware. The shapes of 750 ml wine bottles vary based on the type of wine they contain, with the differences largely rooted in tradition, function, and regional winemaking practices. Each shape serves practical and historical purposes, signaling to consumers what kind of wine is inside. It is common for bottle shapes to be slightly larger, have high shoulders versus low shoulders or tapered necks. Some bottles are wider, etc. The next time you are at the wine store shopping for a nice red take note. The problem with this wine refrigerator, is the advertised capacity. If you have any variety of wines at all other than one or two specific bottle shapes, it will not be possible to achieve the advertised capacity. The bottles just do not fit together when alternated according to the rack design. I have a few collectible wines, but most of my wine comes from the grocery store and is nothing special. As I attempted to load this wine fridge, I ran into multiple situations where the bottle just would not fit. They design is such that there is no tolerance for variation. Simply put, the bottles need to be skinny, with a low or taper neck. I was hoping to get at least 40 bottles in this unit, but was only able to get 27 or 28. Meanwhile, there is a shelf that appears to be a regular drink can or bottle shelf on the bottom which I have no use for. I wish Cafà had just advertised a 30 count wine refrigerator and allow room for the variety of bottle shapes that actually exist in the real world. Bummer.

We added this fridge to our new kitchen design. We love it! Keeps our main fridge much less full of drinks and cans and more storage for other stuff. The build quality is great on this thing. Nice heavy duty door, and good solid hinges. It doesn't feel cheap. The backlighting on the inside is a really nice touch. Also WIFI features are handy. Not totally necessary, but handy.

New home with a new kitchen remodel allowed us to finnaly get an under thecounter wine center. This unit arrived very well packed, had all the parts, and contained very clear installation instructions along with all the hardware needed. Installation was easy and worked exactly as the instructions stated. This unit is stainless steel with the Cafe handle it looks beautiful in our new kitchen. The proximity sensor that turns on the lights when you approach is a wonderful touch. Dual temp control has been working perfectly in near silence. Wifi connection to Smart HQ App was simple and adds additional convenience. Highly recommend. I already purchased the matching beverage center. Well done GE Cafe

Also will not fit any decent Napa red that uses a *slightly* thicker bottle. A wine fridge at this price point should accommodate a nice bottle of wine. This one does not.

In the description it says it™€™s accommodates champagne bottles. One shelf on the top does bit then the larger red bottles don™€™t fit well on the bottom shelves. Also, when putting the reds on the bottom at a warmer temp, the glass door is constantly fogged up. I ended up having to put the reds back on the top and the champagne in the normal fridge.

The unit came with a broken handle and still hasn't been replaced. Also, installing this was very difficult and getting balanced was almost impossible. It feels like they used very cheap material. You can buy a comparable priced unit for a little less and even get wood shelving and flex shelving.

Aesthetically this model is great looking; Functionally it does the job. My only complaint would be the "standard" bottle spacing that it comes with. With many non-standard wine bottles out there, I find myself moving bottles around to make them fit in the space available. Not a big deal, but I'd rather see this unit's capacity reduced in order to easily fitting the myriad of bottle shapes and sizes.

I replaced a Sub Zero wine cooler with this because it was less than 1/2 price. Shelves are secure but not high enough for all bottle designs. It also tends to tip over when shelves are extended - trying to get this resolved but little response from the retailer.

The wine fridge looks great but there™€™s no way the typical person who buys this is going to be able to store 46 bottles in there. Half that number is more realistic unless you™€™re loading it with cheap quality Bordeaux-style bottles like Two Buck Chuck comes in. Nicer bottles and especially Burgundy bottles only fit on two of the six shelves.

The she F spacing does not allow for storage of any size wine bottle. Wine labels are easily damaged. 7-8 bottle storage capacity listed in owners manual does not work. At best 4 bottles can be stored or the shelves do not slide at all. Very poor design.

I bought the whole GE cafe matte white line of appliances for my new build including this wine center. I was so excited to have a dual temp wine fridge. Aesthetically, it™€™s beautiful. But it doesn™€™t fit any bottles. The 2 large top trays fit bottles fine but all other shelves don™€™t fit ANY bottle of wine. Not my grocery store wine, not my good wine club wine. None of it. All my labels are scraped off because of the tight squeeze and I have to jerk the shelves open. Sure, I could take out 2 of the shelves to create more space and then I lose 30% of its capacity. My $400 wine fridge I had before this was better. Annoying.

Very disappointed, bottles don™€™t fit

Bottles very slightly larger diameter than the thinnest table wine bottle only fit in shelves 1 & 4. I™€™m not talking magnums or burgundy bottles, but anything thicker/wider that the thinnest bottle. A shame, nice looking unit that could be both functional and a display piece. Would only take three times 1/8™€ or three times 1/4™€ to make shelves 2,3, & 5 very functional. Only keeping this unit because it appears to do a nice job regulating temperature. Can™€™t believe only one prior reviewer mentions this design flaw (wrongly thought he was misguided). I use freestanding and if not super careful shelf two gets caught on the top/first shelf the whole unit can fall on you. Regulates temp fine and looks great closed, but GE could™€™ve executed this much better for the average wine bottle.

The wine fridge is pretty however getting standard sized bottles of wine to actually fit in the drawers and be able to close the drawers is like an expert level game of Tetris. Standard bottles of Pinot do not fit on nearly all the shelves without either completely preventing the closing of the drawers or scraping the label off. We had a knockoff $300 wine fridge in our last kitchen and prefer it over this one.

This appliance stopped working after 1 day. All my wine sat in 55 degrees until we discovered that the brand new wine chiller was not working. Bottle storage is not as advertised.

Wine fridge was delivered after patiently waiting. Only to not have handle or tow kick with it. After calling the delivery company and the GE parts lady we should hopefully have some thing in 7 to 10 business days.

We bought a suite of Cafe appliances for our new kitchen, and this Wine Center adds the ultimate "Wow Factor" to the kitchen. It has an elegant and sleek appearance and it looks incredible under the counter top. I like how the light will illuminate as you approach the door, and you can activate display mode during parties to show off your collection. The app is great too, to control the lights, temperature zones, and other settings. This wine fridge completes the look of our kitchen, and I'm so glad we got it.
